Admissions
What grades does IAY serve?
The Islamic Academy of Youngstown serves students from Kindergarten through Grade 8.
How do I apply for admission?
Begin with an inquiry through our Admission page. Our office will guide you through a tour, application, assessment, and enrollment.
Is there a waitlist?
Some grades fill quickly. We encourage families to apply early; if a grade is full, you may join the waitlist.
Do you accept mid-year transfers?
Yes, when space is available. Please contact the office to discuss your child’s situation.
Academics
What curriculum do you follow?
A strong core curriculum (English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies) integrated with Islamic Studies, Quran, and Arabic.
What is your student–teacher ratio?
We keep classes small and personal, with an approximate 12:1 student–teacher ratio.
How do you support different learning needs?

Islamic Program
How is Quran taught?
Quran is part of daily instruction, with recitation, memorization (Hifz), and tajweed appropriate to each grade level.
Do students learn Arabic?
Yes. Arabic language instruction is part of our program across grade levels.
Are non-Muslim families welcome?
